Long Beach

In addition, Long Beach is home to the California Repertory Company, which performs at the Royal Theater aboard the Queen Mary in downtown Long Beach. Long Beach is an oceanfront city located in southern Los Angeles County, about twenty miles south of downtown Los Angeles. It is a vibrant community, with a diverse culture and unique neighborhoods. The coldest season is from November to March. December has the lowest average temperature, only 66 degrees Fahrenheit. Winters in Long Beach are relatively mild. Despite the dry climate, it is rare for the temperature to drop below forty degrees Fahrenheit.

Long Beach boasts a world-class school system. The Long Beach Unified School District has over 81,000 students and 84 public schools. Long Beach City College is another notable institution in Long Beach. The city is also home to the California State University, Los Angeles.
